Morris Shapiro Passes Away Last Saturday, The American Jewish Outlook, Page 13
Funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon, 2 o'clock, for Morris Shapiro, one of the founders of Torath Chaim Synagogue, N. Negley Avenue,
who passed away Saturday at his residence, 634 Highview Street.
Active in community life, Mr. Shapiro is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. A. Baskind, Mrs. A. Kissin and Mrs. B. Goldsmith, all of this city, and Mrs. J. Feldman, of Chicago; 3 sons, Hyman, Nathan and Samuel, all in Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Rabbis Wolf Leiter, A. M. Ashinsky, E. W. Kochin and Nathan N. Hurwitz officiated at the services. Interment was made in Shaare Zedeck Cemetery, Carrick. |
